"Up-Fixin" volumes 6, 7, 8, 9. These include all technical articles from Panorama. These particular volumes cover the 924/944/968 series. There is also an index you can order along with these volumes from Porsche Club of America.
The EuroSelect Parts and Technical Reference Catalog reproduces most of the important parts diagrams from the factory fiche. However, the component index given with each diagram is not always very complete. This catalog has been superseded by PCNA's "Parts and Technical Reference Catalog, Water Cooled 924, 944, 928 Models 1977-1988", p/n PNA.000.147.A. The most recent edition of the Performance Products catalog has some exploded diagrams as well.

When buying Porsche factory workshop manuals, be aware that copies sold in the aftermarket do not always have the most recent supplements included. Copies bought from PCNA dealers should be fully up to date. The supplements can be purchased to bring a manual set up to date, but they are not always inexpensive.

The following publications are available from Porsche Cars North America in the United States. They can generally be purchased from dealerships such as My Porsche, or from aftermarket houses such as Automotion or Performance Products.
Within the US, federal law requires carmakers to make service literature available to independant service shops and the general public. Some publications may be temporarily or permanently out of print.
These factory publications are generally not available for purchase outside of the United States. However, some dealerships and aftermarket houses are willing to fill orders placed outside the US.
If you bought your 924, 944, or 968 from a previous owner and the owner's manual is missing, give a thought to buying one. Hey, at least you'll learn how the electric sunroof is supposed to work!

One advantage of purchasing these manuals from a dealership is that they are sold with all current supplements. If you purchase them from aftermarket houses, you may not get all current supplements.
Be warned that these manuals are not how-to guides for the novice mechanic. They are written for the professional mechanic who needs detailed, model/make specific information. If you need a learner's guide, consider getting a copy of the Haynes manual for your car.

Some folks prefer the workshop manuals on microfiche, particularly because they are very much cheaper than the print versions. You'll need a large format viewer for them.
Porsche has not updated the fiche versions of the manuals since 1990.

If you decide not to splurge on a workshop manual set, at least get a tech spec booklet for your car. It contains all the important specifications you'll need in servicing your car.

PCNA collates their technical bulletins into an annual volume, generally published in April or May of the following year. The Technical Bulletin Index is updated annually; just substitute the year's letter code into the part number to get the current year's edition.
These bulletins contain a wealth of detail information which sometimes does, sometimes doesn't make it into the workshop manuals as supplements. Early volumes of the technical bulletins have been out of print at times.

These fiches contain exploded diagrams of all your car's parts, along with part numbers. In general, they also tag variant parts with their option codes, for example, the alternate suspension parts used for the M030 sports chassis option.

When Porsche introduces a new model, or a major change in a particular series, these books described the important mechanical and technical changes. They largely describe the differences from previous cars, rather than the whole car.
These books have a very short shelflife. Often if you do not order them from PCNA within the model year, you're out of luck. On the other hand, they tend to show up frequently at literature swap meets.
