1. 1968 Porsche 911 Production Number

Porsche isn't just for everyone, and it's always been this way. The brand is one of the most legendary vehicles on the road today, and with such quality, performance, and reputation, it's easy to see why Porsche has ascended to the heights it has. In 1968, only 3,174 Porsche 911 S's were made, which means there aren't many left on the roads today, thanks to the low production number. Porsches from that era are worth a lot of money, but this car is one-of-a-kind.

2. The Two Mile Porsche

The odometer of this Porsche 911S has two miles on it, which means this car is extremely unique. However, cars can't just sit for close to 50 years in the same condition, so the owner still had to do necessary upkeep to fight off the ravages of time. During the restoration process, the owner ensured everyone that he used OEM parts only to maintain the integrity of the classic The engine and the transmission have matching numbers, which means this Porsche really just has only TWO MILES on it!

3. Low-Mileage Confirmation

The two miles on the odo are extremely hard to believe, but a government MOT history check performed on this 1968 Porsche supports the low-mileage claim. The vehicle comes with the certificate proving that it is road worthy. The original owner purchased this Porsche in 1967 as a brand-new vehicle, and he sold it in 2000. Since then, the Porsche was sold one more time, and the third owner is the current seller.

4. Engine and Performance

Not that this engine has any cool stories to tell, but the 911S is equipped with a 2.0-liter flat-six engine, which produces 180-horsepower. The engine, if used, can go from 0 to 60 mph in just 8.1 seconds. Both the engine and the transmission have been rebuilt by a professional Porsche mechanic, so technically, the two miles on the odometer don't apply to the engine, but it is the original engine and the original transmission nonetheless.

5. Auction Details

This Porsche will be up for auction on May 20, 2017, in England, at an auction called Historics at Brooklands. The 1968 Porsche 911S is advertised as a two-mile car, and the auction estimates the classic to sell for anything between £220,000 and £250,000, which is equivalent to approximately $285,300 to $324,200. With this Porsche's condition and mind-blowing mileage, this number seems quite fair.
