What is Exclusive

During my time as a driving coach for Porsche, we were constantly being educated on the Exclusive side of things: rare factory options or extra costly vehicles that only the ultra high-end buyers opt for. While some options are downright ridiculous, others are seriously cool and command your attention—things you never knew were available unless you thought to ask. Here are my top picks for the coolest creations for Porsche Exclusive.

$100,000 Paint Jobs

Chromoflair is one of the coolest paint jobs that exist in automotive history. It’s also a couple of bucks shy of costing you 100 grand if you want to really stand out. But boy, do you stand out in this paint scheme. Loud is an understatement, this is loud funneled through a megaphone and then cranked up to 11 twice over for good measure. Most customers don’t even know this paint option exists. These custom paints can skyrocket the value of a car and make money back in the resale process. It all depends on how rare a paint you select and on what model. We saw tons of cars at the PEC with all kinds of custom paint jobs. Chromoflair paint is a one in a million sighting even among people who see these cars every day.

Gold Gauges

If you spend a long enough time behind the scenes, you'll start to hear some pretty wild stories on what customers get away with. One customer in the past had a 959 built with gold gauges, true story. If it wasn’t for the photos, this might sound like someone pulling your leg, but it really is how far Porsche Exclusive is willing to go to deliver you the most customized 911 you will ever own. Think of it as the Maybach division of Porsche or some ultra luxurious equivalent. How can you not love a gold plated 959?

Turbo S Build

Exclusive isn’t just about looking pretty, it’s also about performance. In a collaboration with Porsche Motorsport, these two divisions came together to create the ultimate in luxury performance. This Turbo S Exclusive is draped in a custom Golden Yellow Metallic and then cranked up to 607 horsepower. Good for a top speed of 200mph this super rare version of the Turbo S comes with its own watch you have to consciously try to not drool on. Heavily optioned this car represents one of the best driver’s cars of all time. Many people forget that motorsport is truly in everything that the company does. It’s not just a nice marketing slogan to drum up sales.

Interior Leather

Custom leather can be ordered and is one of the most noticeable differences in the Exclusive series of options. You can cover almost any interior part in leather from air vents to center consoles and even seat buttons and it has to be said the quality is astounding. Fit and finishes are tight and feel excellent from an ergonomic standpoint. Exclusive can match almost any color in the car and even match other colors of things you own. It’s all a custom affair that racks up a very impressive bill, very quickly. You can even have personalization added to the leather itself in terms of stitching and almost anything else your imagination can dream up.

2011 Speedster Build

Without question, the coolest option to ever come out of Porsche Exclusive was the 2011 Speedster. Only 356 were created with custom bodywork that created a really distinct shape which deviated from the normal 911 curves. It almost looks like a tuner car or something you would see in the Fast and the Furious movies, but it works in every sense of the word while retaining its signature driving characteristics. 402 horsepower, ceramic brakes, and a seven-speed gearbox were all standard on this build which was offered in a Carrara White or the Pure Blue seen in these photos. Exclusive definitely needs to make more cars like this in the future.

Exclusive Conclusive

Porsche Exclusive is about way more than just a couple of cars and some interior options. These 5 picks are what stand out to me as someone who got to experience these options every day. The sky is the limit when it comes to your build with the only true ceiling being your imagination and your wallet. Even if you’re not looking to buy it is worth taking a look if you are ever at the Experience Center in Los Angeles or Atlanta. You just might have your mind blown by what you find. Get down to the PEC today and check it out for yourself. You won’t be disappointed. Thanks for reading.
