1. Easter is coming

Easter is soon upon us. If there are two things that aren't usually paired with one another, it's April holidays and automobiles-- but why not start now? The Porsche brand is known for their sleek, prestigious sports cars. As shown here, that serious muscle car brawn can be allayed with really playful colors. Here's a chance to see some classic Porsche models in an array of bright (and sometimes strange) colors.

2. Rose

Porsche has logged the "Rose" color as Paint Code 024. That's an awfully formal way of categorizing this otherwise warm and sensuous choice of paint. Modeled on a '72 Porsche, this color will help ensure the vehicle is seen at any time of day. Not that the Porsche brand has ever had issues with being noticed.

3. Jade Green

If you're getting really festive for Easter, here's a picture for you. Here the Easter palette has found its way into the interior of a vehicle. A like matching color scheme on the inside and out is perfect for convertibles. There's a calming, aquatic tone to this one. If anything, it helped to taper out the regular might that Porsches are known for.

4. Gulf Blue

The Porsche paint directory has this Gulf shade of blue logged as Paint Code 328. Decorating a vintage 1973 model, it reflects the bright pastel tones of Easter eggs every bit as much as the sky itself. Looking at a car like this is enough to make anyone nostalgic for the good old days of US muscle cars.

5. Wine Red Metallic

Here's a rare example where wine and driving go perfectly together. The dark red is very colorful, but unlike some of the other Easter-ish colors here, this one could be taken pretty seriously as well. Not that the Porsches have ever had an issue in that department-- what we wouldn't give to have a car like this at our disposal.

6. Sea Foam Green

It's always interesting to see the insides of classic vehicles, which in some way have changed even more than the exterior. Of course, even the layman could admire (or protest) the bright sea foam green this car's decorated with. It's not a color for everyone, but it definitely suits this car. It wouldn't be the worst thing to be cruising around in on Easter weekend.

7. Special Egg White

This car was actually a special custom color job. In keeping with the festive season, we might call this one "special egg white." It would take a lot to crack this egg, however; many of the classic Porsches still perform remarkably well. It's a real testament to the technical ingenuity of Porsche's innovators. This car's also the color of a breakfast item, so there's that too.

8. Peru Red

Peru Red? Sometimes it's a wonder if these colors are named out of a random bag. Nonetheless, this brownish orange approach to red is a classy way to decorate a roadster that already suffers no shortage of elegance. Total class.

9. Marine Blue

In a sense, most tints of blue reflect the ocean to some extent. With a marine blue Porsche however, we wonder if it's the ocean we'd be thinking of, or the sheer awe for the performance this car embodies? This is a fair shade brighter than typical Porsches-- most sports cars are tinged in darker tones anyway. However, it definitely suits the sleek chassis of this model.

10. Porsche Royal Blue

Who knew the color "Royal Blue" would remind us so much of the Easter spirit? On a race car no less! Easter eggs are one thing, but no one's ever won a Tour de Prix with them, let alone successfully made a trip to the grocery store. This Porsche almost reflects the color of the sky behind it. Whether it's Easter or not, this roadster would be a perfect car to get excited about.
