10. Porsche 911 GT1 Strassenversion

The "ultimate 911" is more than a 911. Only 25 of this turbocharged 6 cylinder beast were ever built. The tubular space frame chassis housed a twin-turbocharged 3.2-liter water-cooled flat-six engine capable of 600 hp. It is capable of 194 mph and a time of 3.6-second to do 0–60 mph. This can all be yours for the low low price of $912,000.

9. Porsche 993 Carrera RS

Only 1,000 of this fine naturally aspirated 911 were ever made. It featured a 3.8-liter flat-six pushing around 300hp.

8. Porsche 964 Turbo S Flachbau

The name "Flachbau" means flat nose or slant nose as the way the front end of this rare Porsche appears. Only 93 of these were ever built. It features a 3.6-liter flat six that pushes 385hp. This motor was also found on the 964 Turbo S.

7. Porsche 935 Street

In a collaboration with McLaren, Porsche created a street version of the famed 935 race car notably for utilizing the widebody aero kit. It features a 3.3-lflat-six pushing 375hp. It's priced nearly 3 times that of a 911 turbo! Only 1 was ever made.

6. Porsche 924 Carrera GT

Only 426 of this 944 look alike were made. It featured 924 turbo engine pushing 210 horsepower. There was also a GTS model which only 59 models were made. That one featured a front mount intercooler and perspex headlamps instead of the pop-up lights like on the GT.

5. Porsche 911 S/T

Only 33 of this precursor to the 1973 Carrera RS were ever built. It featured fender flares and a dual plug 2.5-liter engine that pushed 250hp. This vehicle as only offered up 1 year and values around $750,000.

4. Porsche 914-8

While the Porsche 928 was the first car to receive an 8 cylinder engine, this 914-8 was quite the monster especially being fitted with the 3.0-liter version from the 908 racecar. Only 2 of these were made and owned by Ferdinand Piech and Ferry Porsche. Piech was responsible for bringing Porsche's first mid-engine platform to market. One can imagine how wild an 8 cylinder mid engine beast was in this lightweight model meant for development purposes.

3. Porsche 911R

Only 23 models of this rare 911 were made. It featured 50 more horsepower and 350lbs weight reduction than it's 911S counterpart. The other interesting fact is that the entire body is made out of fiberglass instead of metal. This is where the weight savings comes in for Porsche to qualify the car against cars like the GTO Ferrari. The FIA rejected Porsche's entry and instead the 23 cars continued their life as rally cars.

2. Porsche 356B Abarth Carrera GTL

In 1959, Porsche approached Abarth tuning firm for a collaboration. The result was a lightweight and gorgeous vehicle that won the 25 hours of Le Mans in 1960. The body was made entirely out of aluminum and pushed out 165hp with an unmuffled Sebring exhaust.

1. Porsche 356 Carrera Speedster

Only 151 of this rare beauty were ever built. It is the ultimate collector's car. While they came in a few variations, almost all of them featured the flat 4 engines pushing around 100bhp. Some featured front racing brakes and a bigger fuel tank - this was considered the GT package. If you're in the market for one today, expect to pay a premium of nearly $2,000,000.
