1968 Porsche 911S is Restored to Painstaking Perfection
Restorations of the legendary Porsche don't get much better than this 1968 911S build.

This beautiful Porsche 911S was originally built and sold in Germany in 1967. It eventually made its way to the US and North Carolina down the line, and earlier this year, this classic Porsche underwent a major restoration to bring it back to its original glory.

The Old Car
The 911S coupe had been repainted to the ivory finish you see in the photo above. But during the restoration, it underwent a bare-metal repaint to restore the finish back to its original factory tangerine color.

The Restoration
The restoration process involved everything one could imagine. All parts from the body panels, the headlights, and taillights, the interior upholstery, as well as the engine were reworked. The project reportedly cost around $107,000.

Power Plant
The source of power remains the original numbers-matching 2.0-liter flat six that the car came with over a half a century ago. In the process of rebuilding the engine, the transmission and the exhaust system were refreshed as well.

Perfectly Restored
This gorgeous rebuild has been done with the highest attention to detail. Every inch of the car has been flawlessly redone to represent this Porsche's true aura.

Underpinnings
Looking underneath the car, you will find nothing but new parts and components. The revamped suspension is comprised of Koni shocks, tie rod ends, and bushings. It's not a stretch to say that this old machine will handle better than most new sports cars.

Interior
The gorgeous all black interior has been completely redone as well. The factory seats have been reupholstered and the dashboard, interior trim, and the 4-spoke steering wheel have all been recovered to make the cabin look and feel good as new, if not better!
