Where on Amelia Island did the Porsche Club of America find to have the inaugural east coast meeting? A golf course, of course. Well, to be more specific it is the fairway at the beattiful Omni Resort which happened during the Amelia Island Concours weekend. The event drew over 600 Porsches from every generation, spanning across makes and models.

The show itself was quite amazingly free. The parking, however, was not, and went for a cool Andrew Jackson ($20) for non-Porsche corral vehicles. The format for the Amelia Island reunion is pretty much the same as the one in the Monterey event which makes sense since it is run by the same PCA members. Some notable guests at the reunion the black 964 3.6 Turbo from the movie Bad Boys Magnus Walker, and Pike's Peak racer Jeff Zwart.

4. Buying opportunities

Being surrounded by so many Porsches can cause one to temporarily desire to part with hard-earned funds to own another vehicle or be a first-time owner. If that is the case, there was Premier Financial Services on hand to help make dreams into reality. We wonder how many people drove home in a dream machine and how many were scolded by their significant others for even thinking of the possibility?
