1. Four-Door 911

Don't go looking for this rare 911, you won't find any. This is a special, custom-built Porsche 911, built by Dick Troutman and Tom Barnes in their shop in Culver City, CA. This crazy build was done in 1968, and the Porsche was carefully cut in half in the right points. The length of the stretch on this crazy Porsche is 21 inches, making it the longest 911 out there. If you're a fan of craziness, this is one to look into.

2. Four-Seat Porsche

You're not looking at a Volvo or a Nash, this is a Porsche 356 with a special body. Swiss Coachbuilder Beutler was asked by Porsche to build a Porsche with four seats in the late '50s, and this was the result. The Beutler company was run by two brothers: Ernest and Fritz Beutler. The car did what it was supposed to do, which is to seat four people; however, it looks more like a mixture of Nash, Volvo, and Karmann Ghia, than an attractive Porsche.

3. Porsche Tank

We all know that Porsche could turn into a beast or a monster, but did you know it can do this? Adolf Hitler approached Dr. Ferdinand Porsche and ask him to build a tank for World War ll, and this was what came out of it: the Type 823, which was actually a variant of the Beetle, built on a VW chassis. These tanks ended up being used as tank training dummies, as well as bait, to distract fire from their actual tanks. Shortly after this, Dr. F. Porsche served some time in jail for his association with Hitler and the Nazis.

4. Porsche Jeep Typ 597

The Porsche Cayenne isn't the first SUV Porsche have designed, feast your eyes on the Porsche 597. This Porsche, which people like to call the Porsche Jeep, was designed as a military lightweight vehicle, which served the same purpose as the military Jeeps. However, it was only made as a prototype, and unfortunately, it never reached mass production, as it was replaced with the DKW Munga. Between 1955 and 1958, a total of 71 597s were built, 49 of them were built for the civilians, so if you ever see one, consider yourself lucky.

5. Special Bodied 356 HT

Perhaps one of the best-looking Porsches ever designed, the 356 HT was far ahead of its time. This Porsche had a lot in common with its older sister the VW Beetle, like the rear-mounted motor, as well as the air-cooled V4 engine. The unique design of this body made it one of the best performance vehicles of its time, allowing it to defeat some of the more popular, and more powerful, cars on the racetracks, due to its lightweight construction, powerful motor, and exquisite handling. The Porsches you see today are all inspired by the Porsche 356, which is Porsche's first production model.
