5 Wild Tuned Porsches At The Geneva Motor Show

The Geneva Motor Show never disappoints, and these five tuned Porsches certainly don't either.

1. TechArt 911 GTstreet R

While most tuner cars seem to have various wings, scoops, and spoilers tacked on just for show, TechArt claims that all the 911 GTstreet R's additional bits are functional. That includes the enormous, adjustable rear spoiler. In addition to more downforce than a stock 911, TechArt also says the GTstreet R is 66 pounds lighter thanks to the extensive use of carbon fiber. And of course, power comes in spades, with a modified flat six producing 720 hp and 701 lb-ft of torque.

2. Gemballa Avalanche

Alright, so the rear engine 911 doesn't exactly need a hood scoop or additional front air vents. But in all fairness, the back side of the Gemballa Avalanche is even more cladden with extra scoops, vents, spoilers, and louvers. And in case those add-ons don't grab enough attention for you, the electric purple paint and bronze wheels will. Of course, the Avalanche isn't all show and no go. It also employs a tuned 3.8 liter flat six that produces an earth moving 808 hp and 700 lb-ft of torque.

3. Gemballa Mirage GT Carbon Edition

Gemballa's other ride at Geneva was the Mirage GT Carbon Edition - a Carrera GT with, well, tons of carbon fiber bits and pieces used to shave precious curb weight. And while the Carrera GT is pretty darn lively in stock form, the Mirage packs an upgraded V-10 producing 670 hp and 630 lb-ft of torque. Gemballa claims that the more powerful, lighter Mirage will do 0-60 in 3.7 seconds and top out at 208 miles per hour.

4. Mansory Porsche Panamera

Mansory took a stock Panamera and added fender flares, custom front and rear fascias, extended side sills, and the requisite wing and front splitter to create their own version of a hot four-door Porsche. The addition of yellow striping around the side vents and rear bumper accentuate the car's lines. Inside, a custom quilted black leather interior with yellow accents mirrors the detailing of the wild exterior.

5. TechArt 718 S Cayman

TechArt debuted its hot version of the 718 Cayman at the 2017 Geneva Motor Show, and it certainly doesn't disappoint. First, the tuner massaged the stock 2.5-liter engine to 400 hp and 354 lb-ft of torque using their own engine management system and exhaust. That's good enough for a3.9-secondd 0-60 run and 185 mph top speed. The 718 S rolls on 21-inch TechArt wheels, and of course features a full body kit that is actually rather subdued by today's standards.
