Standout

The world of restomod Porsche builds has seemingly become oversaturated in the past several years. So it's always refreshing to feast our eyes on something that stands out from the crowd. And this custom-built 930, with its subtle upgrades, does that in the best possible way. The build was featured in SEMA back in 2017, but it's still worth another look years later.

Rob Ida Concepts

The man responsible for this tasteful creation is Rob Ida of Rob Ida Concepts. The New Jersey-based shop has built a reputation for its high-quality builds, many of which have been featured at the SEMA show. And the aim of this particular project was to enhance the looks and performance of the 911 in an understated fashion.

Modest Exterior

That's why it's not easy to spot the custom touches at a glance. But a closer inspection will reveal the extraordinary nature of the 930 build. For starters, the paint color is one that was used for '60s Daimler delivery trucks. Other custom exterior pieces are the front and rear bumpers, which maintain the car's character while giving it a cleaner look. The Porsche sits on blacked-out Fuch wheels, and the lowered suspension eliminates any hint of a gap between the arches and the tires.

Interior Upgrades

On the inside, the 911 has received sporty upgrades including the adjustable racing bucket seats and harness. It also features a roll cage behind the seats, which has been painted in the same color as the exterior, as have the seat backs.

Added Power

The ducktail spoiler hides the enhanced 3.3-liter flat-6, which produces around 300 horsepower in stock form. But with the help of a larger turbocharged sourced from Porsche, as well as an upgraded intercooler and secondary injectors, the motor can now make 500 horsepower with ease.
