I think we can all agree the prices on these beautiful machines in the used market have already reached "bananas" classification. But here are some awesome examples for those of us who can still afford them.

1996 Porsche 911 Turbo AWD

The price tags are truly insane in comparison to what they were a decade ago. And the recent lack of new and used car inventory has created even more inflation for these classic Porsches. So without further adieu, let's introduce the first 991 on this slideshow, listed at a whopping $299,995. This absolutely breath-taking Midnight Blue on tan 1996 Porsche 911 Turbo AWD shows only around 14K miles on the clock. Although it has a long life ahead of it, it's questionable whether it will be driven they way it's meant to be, especially with that price!

1997 Porsche 911 Turbo AWD

Up next is another 911 Turbo AWD, this one from the 1997 model year. With a classically beautiful black-on-black color combo, alloy wheels, and red brake calipers, this 993 looks like an absolute dream. It is listed with about 44K miles and at $199,999 by a dealer in Mountain View, CA.

1998 Porsche 911 Carrera S (Zenith Blue)

Another California-based Porsche, this special order Zenith Blue 911 Carrera S is for sale in glamorous Beverly Hills. And its price tag of $167,500 is on par with a lot of other exotics that grace the streets of the Los Angeles neighborhood. With around 67K miles on it, though, it's approaching the mileage where these might require a bit of work. So the next owner better make sure the previous 3 took great care of it.

1998 Porsche 911 Carrera S (Silver)

Another 1998 Porsche 911 Carrera S, this time with a serene Arctic Silver-on-black color combo. This 993 is listed for sale out of Lynnwood, WA for $165,000. It has a lower price than the previous example, as well as a slightly lower mileage at just under 55K miles. So if the special Zenith Blue color isn't your thing, this silver Carrera S is better value.

1998 Porsche 911 Carrera S (Black)

The third 1998 Porsche 911 Carrera S on this list resides in Ashburn, VA. With 31K miles on it, the black-on-black Porsche looks extremely clean, as the photos can attest. The car is priced similarly to the previous two items with a $169,998 sticker.

1998 Porsche 911 Carrera S (Red)

Call me a sucker for the more rare color combos, but there's a ton of personality here, much like the Turbo in the first slide. The final 1998 Porsche 911 Carrera S on the slideshow is also the lowest-priced of the bunch. It shows a $159,500 price tag, which seems fair these days, especially given the low 39K-mile odometer. It should also go without saying that every 993 on this list has a manual transmission! These are true drivers' cars. In the age of automation and electrification, it makes sense that these air-cooled machines have become so desirable.
