The Porsche 928 is one of the more controversial Porsches made. Some say it is unreliable, some love everything about it, and others are just uncertain. Here are some pros and cons for the famous 928.

1. Everything is heavy

If you've never driven a Porsche 928 before, you better start lifting to prepare for it. EVERYTHING is heavy on this car; from the doors and the locks to the clutch and the steering. Maybe it's because of old engineering, but driving the 928 in traffic is not fun with a clutch that feels like it belongs in a gym.

2. Cool Rear Features

Let's face it, no one wants to be in the back seat of a  928. It's a backseat that's so cramped that even an 18-month-old would feel claustrophobic there. Although you'll never see a Porsche 928 limousine, it is nice to know Porsche put air conditioning controls in the back, as well as rear sun visors. It's just nice to know someone is thinking about you.

3. Electronic Issues

We're not quite sure what is up with the tech in the 928, but something seems to always go wrong with its electronics. With problems like 14 Pin connector suffering corrosion, the horn stops working, or low alternator output, this could still be a great ride for you if you're ready.

4. The 928 Community

As forum member "Adamant1971" said, the Porsche 928 community is a tight one. There are many things about the Porsche 928, some are good and some are bad. But what we can all agree on is that it is a special car, and with a special car like this, you always get a strong fan base that loves talking about the car. In simple terms, you should never have a problem gathering information about how to do certain things to your 928, nor should you have any issues sharing the love for it.

5. Poor Visibility

Regardless of what you think of the exterior design of the Porsche 928, rakish design sacrifices the visibility inside the coupe. There is something about the rear glass, the sides, and the windshield that make difficult to see out of the back. Perhaps if you install a backup camera and a blind-spot monitor you might have a better shot at visibility.

6. It's Inexpensive

All of the controversy surrounding the Porsche 928 took a toll on its value. For instance, you can always pick up a great Porsche 928 for $11,000, but you'll never be able to get a 911 for that. All of the pros and cons aside, the 928 is an extremely fun car to drive and own. With just some fixes and modifications, this car can satisfy a good deal of enthusiasts.
