6th PCNA Rennsport Reunion Details Announced - When and Where?

For any Porsche enthusiast, nothing beats this gathering of Porsche street and race cars. The 6th huge Porsche Cars North America Rennsport reunion is next year, and it promises to be more amazing than ever.

1. Rennsport Reunion

The Rennsport Reunion has become a tradition for the Porsche community since it started in 2001. The event brings together a huge gathering of unique Porsche cars, as well as the Porsche race car drivers, engineers, and designers that helped make them what they are now. The event is an official event put on by Porsche Cars of North America (PCNA), and it is a four-day program with competition held at a race track. PCNA CEO Klaus Zellmer recently revealed the next one will be in September of 2018.

2. Porsche Cars North America

The Porsche Cars North America (PCNA) was created in 1984, as the exclusive North American importer for all Porsche vehicles. The company is headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia and also runs the Porsche Experience Centers in Atlanta and Los Angeles. The Porsche Experience Center allows customers a once-in-a-lifetime Porsche driving experience on the track, as well as various other programs within the center.

3. Previous Rennsport Reunions

The tradition stated in 2001 when the very first Rennsport Reunion took place at Lime Rock Park in Connecticut. Three years later in 2003, the second Rennsport Reunion took place at Watkins Glen International race track in New York, and again in 2007 at the Daytona International Speedway. The fourth and fifth Rennsport Reunions where at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca in 2011 and 2015, and gathered close to 60,000 Porsche fans. The connecting feature of all of these venues is their importance in Porsche racing history, and for 2018 Porsche returns to Leguna Seca once more.

4. The Event

The last reunion featured seven classes of racing, and 320 Porsche race cars, including 75 Porsches that had all competed in the legendary 24 Hours of Le Mans. If you're a Porsche enthusiasts, there is no place you should in September of 2018 but this event. There you'll meet hundreds of like-minded enthusiasts, and experience the spectacle of legendary Porsche drivers putting priceless racecars to the test in front of appreciable fans.

5. Rennsport Reunion VI

The highly-anticipated Rennsport Reunion VI finally has been locked down with a place and date. PCNA and Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca announced that the Rennsport Reunion VI will take place September 27 through September 30, at the historic California road course on the Monterrey Peninsula. Time to book a room and arrange shipping of your car out to the track, or get it tuned up to make the trip to the west coast.
