Porsches Galore

One of our very favorite automotive events of the year is nearly upon us, as the festivities at Amelia Island kick off on May 20. That means a variety of collector car auctions are on the way as well, including RM Sotheby's 2021 Amelia Island sale, which just so happens to include a whole bunch of cool Porsches on its docket.

1965 Porsche 911

First up, we have this gorgeous Irish Green 1965 Porsche 911, which has undergone a complete nut-and-bolt restoration. It's an early car that's powered by its original, numbers-matching engine, which, when combined with that amazing color scheme, makes it a rather desirable beauty.

1994 Porsche 911 Speedster

This 1994 911 Speedster has less than 12,000 miles on the clock and is one of less than 1,000 built. It's a unique car, with body color-painted Turbo Design wheels, and remained in the original owner's possession for over two decades. Today, it presents quite nicely in very original condition.

1995 Porsche 911 Carrera RS 3.8

This special 1995 911 Carrera RS 3.8 is number 626 of 1,100 produced in total, and one of just 274 built in 1995. It has just over 18,000 miles on the clock and was imported to America after it was originally sold in Japan. As such, it features the Japanese equipment group and Clubsport Aero Package, making it a truly desirable find.

Porsche 918 Spyder

To us, every 918 is special, and this one is no exception. The Meteor Silver Metallic beauty has just 2,620 original miles and is fitted with the front lift system, CXX options, and lightweight wheels. This particular car, number 337 produced, originally stickered at around $900,000.

1981 Porsche 924 Carrera GTR

The 924 Carrera GTR is an incredibly rare and somewhat underappreciated car in Porsche history, but we aren't sleeping on this one. Only 17 of these special racers were built, and this one was reportedly delivered new in Japan and driven sparingly after that. It has been to the track a couple of times, but not enough to present any kind of wear.

1993 Porsche 911 Carrera RSR 3.8

Last but certainly not least, we have this amazing 1993 911 Carrera RSR 3.8. It's one of just 49 examples sold to the public and was originally delivered to Germany, where it competed in the ADAC GT Cup Series. It has since been fully restored and has just 14,793 kilometers (9,190 miles) on the clock.
