Enticing Proposition

If there's one car that many of us grew up admiring, it's the iconic Porsche 911 Turbo. After all, this harrowed and revered machine graced the walls of every pimply-faced kid's room who grew up in the '80s. These days, acquiring an older Turbo is an expensive proposition. But if you've got the means, this '78 once owned by Formula One racer Kevin Magnussen is most certainly an enticing option. It also happens to be up for sale over at Elferspot

Truly Notable

Aside from its enticing motorsports ownership history, this particular 930 Turbo is notable on its own accord. Rarely do you see cars of this vintage in such fantastic condition, especially when its owned and driven by a pro driver. The Danish Magnussen did exactly that, too, reportedly racking up 1,800+ miles on the car this past summer alone.

Pure Experience

Some would scoff at such usage, but not us. After all, we can't imagine being able to resist the allure of what is one of the greatest automotive creations of all time. The 930 was also one of the fastest cars of its era, offering up a pure driving experience that still resonates deeply with enthusiasts today.

Welcome Upgrades

The 1977/78 models feature some nice upgrades from the previous generation as well, including the larger displacement 3.3-liter flat-six in lieu of the outgoing 3.0-liter. The car's 300 horsepower might seem meager by today's standards, but this is also a very light machine, which makes it quite spry.

Stop and Go

This car also features larger brakes adapted from the 917 racer, which help slow it down in a hurry. And that's pretty important considering the 930's infamous power delivery that came courtesy of early turbo technology. Of course, that's not something we imagine bothers any F1 pro.

Like New

According to the listing, this particular 930 Turbo has been driven a good bit, with just over 75k miles (122,000 kilometers) showing on the odometer. But it's also clearly been well-cared for over those miles, as the car looks nearly brand new. Of course, it also doesn't hurt that it's undergone a reported "full restoration" at some point.

Time Machine

Whoever did the work obviously knows what they're doing, because this car looks like it just rolled off a Porsche assembly line. Hop inside, and it's just like taking a trip back to the '70s, especially with those unique velor-coated sport seats ready to keep you in place around tight corners.

Premiere Status

For those who love 930 Turbos as much as we do (we're looking at you), this example is sure to evoke some pretty strong emotions. The fact that it was also owned by a pro driver from motorsports' premier series, well, that doesn't exactly hurt its case, either.
