Low-Mile Stunner

The 993 911 has gained a ton of appreciation in recent years not only for being the very last air-cooled 911 but also possibly the best. Thus, we can only imagine what this immaculate, 1,126-mile 1997 Porsche 911 Carerra 4S currently up for grabs at Collecting Cars might sell for. This amazing time capsule is one of just 1,752 examples built for the U.S. market, and remains in stunning condition to this day.

Desirable Options

Fresh from a full recommissioning service, this wide-bodied Carrera 4S is ready to drive and enjoy, even though it hasn't seen much road action over the last few decades. It was originally delivered to Puerto Rico sporting some special order options via the Porsche Exclusive program.

Notable Upgrades

Finished in Speed Yellow, this 993 features black leather sport seats on the inside with color-coded seatbacks and yellow seat belts. On the outside, it wears the highly desirable factory Aerokit, which includes both front and rear spoilers.

Laundry List

There are many more desirable options present on this particular Porsche, including door entry guards, a stainless steel exhaust, Porsche crest wheel center caps, a leather dash and door panels, alu-look instrumentation, the engine sound package, air conditioning, cruise control, sunroof, and Porsche's CDR-210 stereo.

Real Magic

The real magic lies under the hood, of course, where you'll find a naturally aspirated 3.6-liter VarioRam flat-six that was originally rated to produce 282 horsepower, which it sends to all four wheels via a six-speed manual transmission.

Comprehensive Service

The engine has been treated to a comprehensive service that included fresh oil and filters and a new fuel filter, fuel pump, fuel pump relay, fuel injector cleaner, lower valve covers and gaskets, front ABS sensors, brake pad wear sensors, rubber brake hoses, and Michelin Pilot Sport 2, along with refreshed front suspension struts.

High Cost

Essentially the closest we can currently get to a brand new 993 911, this amazing Carrera 4S presumably drives as good as it looks, but in spite of bids exceeding the $175k mark, it failed to sell at auction. Currently, the car shows as still being available, and we imagine that someone will eventually cough up enough dough to bring this gem home.
