How St. Patrick Drove the Snakes Out of Ireland - In a Porsche (photos)

St. Patrick drove the snakes out of the Emerald Isle, but what was he driving? Forget the green drinks, the green food, and the green clothes and let's look at some green Porsches.

1. 911 Leprechaun

Some people wait for St. Patrick's day so they have an excuse to drink as much alcohol as they can. Others just want to wake up and take a mountain cruise in their 911. Which one are you?

2. Classic St. Patty's Porsche

This is the only green we want to see on St. Patty's day, or maybe a wad of cash. Green means go, and there is nothing more attractive than a bright green Porsche, urging you to go for it.

3. Are You Feeling Lucky?

If you are chasing leprechauns for that pot of gold, you couldn't ask for a better ride than a Porsche 911. About the only car ever made in Ireland was the DeLorean, so you ought to be able to catch that little green man even if he can see over the dash.

4. What Would St. Patrick Drive?

If St. Patrick was to drive a car, it would probably be this 911 Carrera S convertible. It's low, so chances are no snakes could get under it. With the top down he'd have plenty of visibility to make sure he didn't miss any of those sneaky little reptiles either.

5. It's a Celebration

There is no need for green beer if you can celebrate with a drive in this green 2011 Porsche 911 Targa. The green hills around this lake could even be in Ireland.

6. Drinks on HIM

If someone pulls in to the bar on St. Patty's day in this GT3 RS, then drinks are on him. If you can substitute the free drink for a ride around the block, do it, it is absolutely worth it. The GT3 isn't just expensive, it is exclusive, including that exclusive shade of green that wasn't offered on other cars.

7. Party Over Here

Forget the bars, forget the leprechauns, and forget the green clothes, the party is wherever this Porsche is going. On the menu is roasted tires and overcooked corners.

8. Money Green

This dark green 911 is more subdued, like the classy look of old money. Most of the other cars on this list just scream "give me a ticket!" but the dark green is much better if you really want to drive fast and hang onto your hard earned cash.

9. St. Patrick's Day Motivation

If you own this, then good for you, buy us drinks, please? If this isn't yours, use it as a motivation. Let's hope we are all lucky enough to be driving bright green Porsches by St. Patrick's Day of next year

10. Happy St. Patty's Day

Happy St. Patrick's Day. May all of your wishes come true, and if we get sick, may it be due to the high G's on the track in a glorious Porsche 911 Turbo GT, not because of too much green beer, corned beef and cabbage.

In writing this we stumbled across a great thread on TeamSpeed listing every green paint Porsche ever offered, which is here.
