Different Approach

These days, shops churning out custom restomod Porsche 911 models have become essentially a dime a dozen, driven by the fact that these types of builds have become incredibly popular - and pricey - in recent years. There are plenty of big hitters in the 911 restomod space, but most of them have historically focused on the 993 generation or older models. That isn't the case with a company called Indecent, however, which is churning out some cool customs based on the newer 997.

Worldwide Company

Indecent is actually the brainchild of two different individuals from two very different parts of the world - co-founders Sebastien Polit from Lodz, Poland, and Phillip Tieu of Houston, Texas. The company runs shops from both of those places, plus it also has authorized builders in the UK, Italy, and Bahrain, where it spends hundreds of hours reimagining 997 911s - and soon, 991s as well.

Completely Reworked

Another thing that sets Indecent apart from its competition is the fact that this company goes to extreme lengths to redo the bodies of 997 911s, rather than just tacking on a body kit. In fact, the company touches most of the car's panels in some way - pretty much everything except for the roof, hood, and doors is replaced by a custom or completely reworked piece.

One of a Kind

As one might imagine, Indecent customers have a dizzying array of choices, ensuring that their cars are truly one of a kind. It takes around 300 to 500 man-hours to complete an Indecent 911 once that process is finished, but as we can see from the company's builds thus far, every car is completely different than the next.

Latest Build

The newest Indecent 911 was just completed - car number 011 - and it's finished in a hue dubbed Starlet Orange. That name is no coincidence, however, as the owner's wife has an orange Toyota Starlet that played a key role in the couple's relationship early on. Meanwhile, bright orange Indecent labels provide a nice, unique touch that only a few will notice.

New and Old

While some Indecent 911s wear wild, modern wheel designs, car 011 is fitted with a set of classic Fuchs-style wheels that are much wider than anything that Porsche ever offered, and are wrapped in sticky Toyo R888R rubber. In fact, they fill out the massively wide new fenders completely, and will likely be needed given the presence of the upgraded flat-six under the hood.

Carving Out a Niche

While the restomod/custom Porsche 911 space is a crowded one already, it's quite clear that Indecent is intent to carve out its own niche. Thus far, it has done precisely that, churning out builds that are instantly recognizable as its own - and if that continues, we imagine this company will be around for many years to come.
