Tossing a dirt bike engine into a Porsche Power Wheels results in a ridiculously fast and dangerous-looking thrill ride.

More Power

Many of us grew up tooling around the neighborhood in a Power Wheels of some sort. And for a lot of us, that also helped fuel our passion for automobiles. But no stock Power Wheels vehicle is going to exactly set your hair on fire with its performance. Thus, the owner of this pink Porsche 911 GT3 kid's toy decided to crank things up a bit with a 450cc engine from a KTM dirt bike. The build was chronicled in full via this video from YouTuber Hessick Moto.

Serious Swap

After removing the entire stock electric drivetrain, the owner got to work fabbing up a custom tube steel chassis. That provided a solid new foundation for the dirt bike engine and a sequential transmission. A chain drive sends the power back to the rear wheels, which obviously wear actual rubber tires now instead of those hard rubber things.

Necessary Modifications

Amazingly, an adult can actually fit inside this tiny Porsche. But some modifications were required to the controls to make it driveable. That includes a custom steering wheel that also houses the clutch and brake lever since there isn't much room for those things anywhere else. And it still doesn't look like the kind of thing you'd want to drive for an extended period of time.

Altered Layout

Those short trips promise to be a blast, however. Of course, the engine now resides up front, instead of in the rear as you'd find in an actual Porsche 911. But we won't deduct points for that little detail. And the builder did add a massive rear wing, which helps the Porsche maintain its authentic GT3 look, anyway.

Aesthetics

Naturally, that wing probably doesn't do much good in this case. We doubt it does anything, in fact, since an adult's big body sits right in front of it, redirecting airflow. But it looks cool, nonetheless. And this thing sounds pretty awesome too, thanks to an open exhaust that exits out the rear like the real thing.

Safety First

The real point of building something like this is the fun factor, and that appears to be about as high as it possibly could be. Ripping off wheelies and sliding around corners, this tiny Porsche looks like an absolute riot to drive. And it has us contemplating a similar build, though we'd probably at least wear a helmet while driving it.

Track Toy

But this Power Wheels Porsche isn't just for tooling around the neighborhood and looking cool, apparently. The owner claims that he's going to actually race the thing at some local track in the near future. Perhaps this might spawn a new class of racing? If so, we're most definitely in.
