We sat down with Eric San Vincente who assists customers with everything during the process to get a better idea of what this optional extra entails. Let your Dealer Know

The entire process begins at the dealership where you can ask whoever your sales associate is about PEC delivery. An optional extra, the process begins with your car being built in Germany before it’s sent directly to their world-class training facility in Los Angeles. Inside an incredibly modern, but private feeling showroom, specialists like Mr. San Vicente assist you from the moment you walk in the door with an introduction before going over every detail imaginable on your new vehicle. And, that’s before you hit the track to see what your new machine is truly capable of.

Book It and Go!

“Once you decide on a date, you have the option to do morning or afternoon delivery,” San Vincente informed me. “Morning delivery begins at 8 am and offers customers the ability to get behind the wheel before going over options on their new car.” Afternoon delivery switches up the order with track sessions occurring after the vehicle overview. This allows clients to prioritize what they want to learn about their new vehicle. From Cayenne to Cayman GT4 this option is available on every model with each delivery experiencing varying based on your needs and the type of Porsche you purchased.

Customized to Your Needs

As is typical of the Porsche brand, once you decide on PEC delivery it quickly becomes a tailored affair. Eric informed me that those who spring for this package can request everything from what music is playing when they walk in the room to which features they choose to dive into with their coach. You can even get M&Ms if that’s what floats your boat. It doesn’t get any better than this when it comes to joining the Porsche family or rekindling the old flame with a new 911, but we’re only scratching the surface. What else do they offer?

Piece of Mind

New Porsche vehicles have an incredibly high limit that should only be exploited on a closed course and that’s exactly where PEC Delivery takes your immersion to the max. When asked about how this coaching session differs from a normal coaching session Eric had some insight. “One of the differences between this and a normal coaching session is the ability to take time before the client even shows up to tailor what they want to work on during the driving experience,” he said. “This is different to a normal coaching session as the client can take time to think and prepare what they want to work on if there’s something particular. We ask a lot of questions prior to them coming in.”

For the Record

One of the coolest things that is included with the delivery package is the photography of your vehicle. Normally restricted to your significant other or family snapping shots on their camera phones, the PEC pulls out all the stops with photos of your special day. Nail a 30mph catch on the kick plate? It will all be there for you to hang on your wall after. Plus Restaurant 917 provides food during the day to ensure your memories are signed, sealed and delivered with a dining experience that is second to none.

Worth your While

The entire day is really tailored to you which is something that will take your driver training as well as an understanding of your vehicle to the next level. It’s also a great way to get something more out of the buying process without having to fly all the way to Germany for that extra bit that reminds you why you own a sports car in the first place. Vehicle Delivery at the PEC is a great way to learn about the brand and get unique hands-on training that not everyone will get to say they’ve had.
