Cayman GT4 Clubsport Racing League!
It is an amazing time to be a Porsche enthusiast! Porsche has officially announced a one-make class for the Pikes Peak International Hill climb. This class is specific to the Cayman GT4 Clubsport, but unfortunately, it is invite-only! If you are interested in learning more about purpose-built GT4's ripping up the Pike Peak International Hill climb, read on!
The Ultimate Test of Man and Machine
The Pikes Peak International Hill climb is a spectacle in itself! Race teams and manufacturers from every corner of the globe prepare their finest machines to set a blazing time up the hill climb. The first hill climb took place in 1916, over a 100 years ago, and the event continues to grow stronger every year! The extremely dangerous course is known for being challenging in every aspect on the vehicle as well as on the driver and has claimed many lives in the past!
Porsche's Racing Legacy
Porsche is the undoubtedly the most celebrated brand in motorsports, and its presence at the Pikes Peak International Hill climb is definitely known. In fact, Porsche set the Pike Peak Open course record in 2012 with a 2012 Porsche 911 GT3R and countless air cooled Porsche have put in their time on this set of twisties. Porsche's latest contribution to the Pike Peak legacy is the GT4 Clubsport class!
Invite Only Racing Series
The invite-only racing series is open to GT4 Clubsports, the international-spec Clubsport MR, and the IMSA-spec GT4 Clubsport. The elite racing series only has 8 open spots so you better bet that Porsche was selective when they chose who received the golden ticket.
Porsche of North America kindly provides on-site support for the duration of the racing weekend and Pikes Peak Champion Jeff Zwart will be coaching the lucky entrants if they don't have experience on this infamous road. We look forward to seeing these race-prepped GT4's rip up the hill climb!
