Breaking from Tradition

For those most part, Porsche's design evolution of the 911 over the years is just that - evolutionary. You can park every generation of the 911 next to each other and see that quite clearly. But what if the automaker decided to break with that tradition and make the 911 truly distinct and modern? Well, it might look something like these renderings from artists Hussain Almossawi and Marin Myftiu.

Different Name

Of course, something this radical couldn't bear the iconic 911 nameplate, so the artists that created it named it the 411 instead. And even though it looks like something straight from the future, the car sports quite a bit of design influence from models made in the 1950s and 1960s.

Flowing Together

Much like the exterior, the interior of the 411 is defined with flowing lines, all of which come together to create a truly special cabin. Everything here is essentially designed to look like one cohesive unit, which includes the seats and unique dash design.

Melting Into

It's certainly a massive departure from most production vehicles, many of which don't even put much thought into interior design these days. Just take the seats of the 411, for example. They essentially just melt into the cabin, like they belong there and weren't just added out of necessity.

Sleek Design

Then there's the sleek, aerodynamic exterior design, with vertical headlights incorporated into the wheel arches, large venturi tunnels which both look awesome and are quite functional, and a unique rear end design with a "floating" diffuser design. Small details, like the incredibly detailed taillights, are everywhere.

From the Future

This is a design that's far more race car than street car, and obviously nothing like any 911 we've ever seen. And of course, that means it should have a properly futuristic drivetrain as well. Thus, the 411 is theoretically powered by a electric motors and features an autonomous driving function capable of handling speeds of up to 248 miles-per-hour.

Expanding Lineup

The Porsche 411 is nothing more than an idea, of course, but it's a cool one at that. And while we have a hard time believing that Porsche would ever radically redesign its beloved icon to this degree, perhaps there's room for it as an additional model in the lineup.
