Manthey Racing

Manthey Racing has a long, illustrious history in motorsports with direct ties to Porsche. Their 911 GT2 RS  MR even held the Nurburgring record at 6:40.3 at one point. And the legendary racing experts have been putting their knowledge and experience from on-track success into enhancing road-legal sports cars and club racers. The Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 is their latest subject.

As is often the case with Manthey Racing creations, however, the power source remains unaltered. Instead, the racing factory relies on improvements to the suspension, aerodynamics, and chassis elements of the cars to turn them into track-focused monsters. And their kit for the GT4 follows that same principle.

Everything But the Power

MR's improvements here are confined to aero upgrades, heavy-duty suspension, brakes, and wheels. On the aero front, a rear wing has been added, featuring a Gurney flap and ungraded wing mount brackets. New air deflectors and a set of protective air intake grills are also part of the package.

Better Handling

Although the GT4 has quite the capable suspension out of the factory, the folks at Manthey Racing have further improved upon the setup with a set of racing coilvers. The car sits lower to the ground, adjusting the center of gravity and enhancing the Cayman's handling.

Track-Ready Cayman

Upgrades brake pads and braided front and rear brake lines help improve stopping power. And the lightweight BBS wheels round out the Manthey Racing kit. As mentioned, the powertrain and drivetrain remain the same. So if straight-line gains are what you're after, the MR kit isn't for you. But if you're looking for improved lap times in your 718 Cayman GT4, it doesn't get much better than the Manthey Racing kit.
