Mulholland Drive

This particular Porsche is named after the famous road found in California. The Mulholland Highway is located in the hills high above Malibu, between the Ventura freeway (101) and the Pacific Ocean. It is comprised of a few surprise twists and turns and makes driving an already awesome vehicle, even more entertaining. The creative minds at Singer Vehicle Design decided to imprint the actual road map of this public road onto the body of the vehicle. What a concept!

Applied concept

Take one of America's greatest driving roads and one of Germany's most amazing vehicles and call it Mulholland. There is so much history and enthusiasm in one sentence it's unbearable! The guys at Singer applied a map of this famous drive to the outside of the vehicle. Talk about a cohesive collaboration. The colors suit the vehicle well and it really brings out the spirit of a true canyon carver.

Let's rally for functionality

One of the things that really stands out with this particular Porsche is the Rallye style lights. These types of lights were particularly used on vehicles that drove through various courses and hill climbs and needed to have extra lighting for various weather conditions. They improved visibility over the standard halogen lamps. It's not to everyone's taste but for this vehicle that is meant to carve a path on any road, it's fitting, to say the least.

Customized Downforce

Another notable feature on this rendition of a Singer creation is the fixed rear wing. You can even spot metal hinges. It's this type of attention to detail that sets this Porsche apart from the rest. This feature aids in the car's ability to stay planted around the corners of drives like Mulholland through the physics of downforce. Downforce is defined as a force acting on a moving vehicle having the effect of pressing it down toward the ground, giving it increased stability. Downforce is produced by a combination of air resistance and gravity.
