Panamera Gets Celebratory 10 Year Special Edition Package

While Porsche is well-known for its 2-door sports cars, the luxury carmaker has found success in its larger, 4-door vehicles. In fact, the company’s popular sedan has been in production for a decade now and to celebrate, the automaker will be releasing a special edition with extra standard equipment and updated design features.

First, the big updates

The Panamera has been around for 10 years now and time really flies. To celebrate the milestone Porsche is gifting the roadways with a special edition that comes with tweaks to the interior and exterior. This includes 23-inch Sport Design wheels that are outfitted in a unique looking satin white metallic finish. There are also Panamera 10 emblems on the front doors now. This logo also appears on the dashboard (above the glovebox) as well as the door sills. Black upholstery with white-gold stitching gives the interior a bold new feel.

Standard feature updates

Every 10-year-edition will now feature ParkAssist, which includes a 360-degree camera. They’ll also have LED matrix design headlights, lane-keeping assist, blind-spot warning, and 14-way power-adjustable front seats because, well, why not? There is also gold stitching on the seats with a special logo on the passenger trim panel, door entry guards, and a fancy red dome light.

Which versions of the Panamera are getting these updates?

You get a special edition! You get a special edition! All the Panameras get a special edition. Okay, there aren’t THAT many Panameras, but there are a few, including the entry-level model, aptly-named 4-wheel-drive Panamera 4, and the Panamera 4 E-Hybrid, which is the plug-in version of this particular model. If you pony up for this special 10-year version you'll get many options standard which makes this one quite the bargain. Some of those former options are LED matrix headlights, a whole suite of driver-assist aids, a panoramic roof system, and a Bose surround sound system.

What about the engine in these cars?

Nothing changes here, and when it’s a Porsche engine, I can’t say I blame them. Both the standard and 4-wheel-drive Panamera will be outfitted with the same turbocharged 3.0-liter V6 engine that can kick out 330 horsepower. The 4 E-Hybrid model, meanwhile, will feature a twin-turbocharged, 2.9-liter V6 and an electric motor that work together to produce a whopping 457 horsepower.

So how much will this special edition Panamera cost you?

I hope you have a big wallet because you'll need it for this one. The 10-year edition, 2020 Porsche Panamera will start at $104,650. In addition, there is a mandatory $1,350 destination charge. All told, that’s approximately $16k more than the entry-level 2019 Panamera. The Panamera 4 will go for $108,850 and the Panamera 4 E-Hybrid will start at $118,250, both of which will have the destination charge tagged to it as well. The first models should be arriving in the states around the first quarter of 2020.
