Porsche 911 Targa Limo Looks Like a Lot of Fun

It's doubtful anyone would ever build this stylish limo, but it's a fun idea anyway.

Fun Exercise

The internet has given artists a platform to share their ideas and their work, and we've seen a slew of automotive renderings emerge as a result. Sometimes, these renderings depict realistic ideas that probably should come to life, and other times, they're just fun ideas that have essentially a zero percent chance of ever being built. The latter applies to this Porsche 911 Targa limo from Sugar Design, but we think it's cool nonetheless.

Ultimate Luxury

Limos in general aren't as common a sight as they used to be. In the old days, these elongated models were used a lot by celebrities, important business folks, and prom kings and queens to get from point A to point B. Having someone else drive you is the ultimate in luxury, and we can't think of a better way to do that than in a Porsche 911 limo with a retractable top.

Brand Loyalty

Of course, some will say that this simply ruins the performance of the 911, but in this case, it's all about style. There are plenty of big, heavy, four-door luxury/performance cars out there in the world, so we say, why not? For the true Porsche fan, it certainly makes sense rather than riding in a limo from some other brand.

Surprising Styling

And truthfully, we think this 911 Targa limo looks fantastic. The addition of two more doors and a whole lot of length doesn't really hurt the iconic styling of Porsche's most famous model one bit. It would obviously make more sense to use a Panamera for this exercise, but the 911 works, too.

Head Turner

Throw in the iconic Targa top, and you've got a limo that's far more stylish and sporty than most of what we've seen in the past. If this limo existed in real life, there's a 100 percent chance that it would be the first thing people notice at the drop-off section of a fancy restaurant or event.

Good Reasoning

The artist notes that using a Panamera would have made more sense here, but his reasoning for not doing so is that it isn't rear-engine, and it isn't available in Targa form. Good enough for us. And truthfully, we'd love to be driven around in this ultra-cool limo, if anyone had the guts to actually build it.
