Family Affair

Cars, particularly those of the enthusiast variety, are truly a family affair. They're passed down from parent to child, cherished equally with other precious heirlooms like jewelry or family photos. But the 964-gen Porsche 911 you see here is even more special than your average family hand-me-down - it's the very last one owned by businesswoman and matriarch Louise Piëch née Porsche, daughter of Ferdinand and sister of Ferry.

Better than Average

Despite the car's incredible history, the current owner, Clemens Frigge, had no idea how special the 911 was when he was thinking about buying it. It sat on a local dealer lot for over a year, in fact, before he realized that this wasn't your average, clean, low-mile 964.

Grand Story

But make no mistake - Frigge didn't buy this 911 to make a buck off of it. "I don’t buy vehicles based on their value," he explains. "The story behind them is what matters to me, and that’s something that money can’t buy." And is there a better story to tell than that you own a Porsche once belonging to a member of its namesake family?

Fully Documented

It's a story that's easy to back up as well, thanks to some immaculate paperwork and other key characteristics. "It’s definitely the original," confirms Frigge. "The documents for the engine, transmission and paintwork all have matching numbers." The original license plate reading "S 200" is still there as well, which all of Louise's cars wore.

Road Trips

This particular 911 was a birthday gift to Louise Piëch, though she is solely responsible for its spec. She spent the final years of her life driving it on trips throughout the Province of Carinthia and around Lake Zell, routinely stopping along the way to paint the beautiful scenery she came across.

Car Fanatic

Louise wasn't just a talented artist, of course. She was also a powerful influence within Porsche throughout the '70s. Porsche's unofficial treasurer during that era, Louise was an auto fanatic from the very beginning. She even participated in and won multiple races in her lifetime.

Carry On

Today, that legacy lives on thanks to Frigge, a noted collector who owns countless other Porsche models as well. And we're betting that Louise would be just fine knowing that this special ride is in such good hands for the foreseeable future.
