No Wait

For most, Singer's stunningly detailed Porsche builds are nothing short of perfection. And despite the fact that they aren't cheap, the waiting list for a Singer Porsche is always quite long. Those that don't want to wait recently had the opportunity to buy an already-built Singer, however, as this 1989 911 was recently up for grabs at RM Sotheby's with a cool $1M price tag.

Stripped Down

This particular car was originally commissioned by an entrepreneur and philanthropist from Canada, and took roughly a year to build. It's based on a 964-gen 911 that was completely stripped-down fitted with new carbon-fiber bodywork, which is finished in a lovely shade of Geyser Gray.

Total Redo

The 4.0-liter flat-six that lies underneath the 911's hood was treated to a full-blown redo by Ed Pink Racing Engines, which brings output up to a healthy 400 horsepower but cost a whopping $89,000 to complete. However, as of now, the car has only accumulated 500 miles on its odometer.

Perfect Contrast

The interior, as is always the case with Singer's creations, is its own separate work of art. Tobacco-toned leather combined with Bahama Yellow accents forms the perfect contrast, which is accented nicely by premade parts like a Momo Prototipo steering wheel.

Finishing Touch

The Singer 911 rolls on four Fuchs-style wheels wrapped in wide rubber, which cover a set of Bahama Yellow brake calipers to match the interior trim. Ghosted side stripes bearing orange Porsche lettering is a nice finishing touch that isn't too audacious.

Million Details

Another nice touch that we often see on Singer Porsches is this car's center-fill fuel filler that protrudes from the hood, a nice motorsports-themed feature that's just one of a million details that makes Singer Porsches so special.

Appreciating Asset

Despite the fact that the original owner put a few miles on this car and paid $752,000 for it, this is an appreciating asset in high demand. Thus, the asking price of $925,000 represents a tidy profit. But it's one that someone was clearly happy to pay rather than waiting to receive their own perfect Porsche.
