Taycan Cross Turismo Appears Magically in the Wild

Taycan Cross Turismo Sighting

What looks like the production version of the Porsche Taycan Cross Turismo was spotted recently with minimal badging in the parking lot of a shopping mall in Southern California. Although it's common to see pre-debut test mules rolling around days or weeks prior to the big reveal, it's not very common to see the vehicle entirely uncovered like this.

Showing Off New Jewelry

The all-black Taycan was photographed by an Instagrammer @noobtographer just last week. And it's showing off some elements we had not previously seen in the concepts shown by Porsche. Most prominently, the wheels look to be a new design and a rather interesting aesthetic at that.

Ultra Cool Wheels

The five-spoke wheels appear to have an almost architectural design. Whether there's engineering reasoning behind the design or Porsche is simply adding another creative styling facet to the Taycan Cross Turismo, those wheels certainly provide a stark contrast to the round and fluid styling of the Taycan's body.

Familiar Interior

The photographer also managed to take a shot of the car's dashboard, which unsurprisingly, looks practically identical to the standard Taycan. And other than the raised ride height, the black plastic fender arches and rocker, and the shooting brake profile, the Cross Turismo variation of the Taycan doesn't differ much from the regular one.

Waiting For The Release

The raised roofline at the back will provide for better headroom for the second row of occupants, as well as extra cargo space. When it comes to performance, not much has been released by the manufacturer, but the general consensus seems to be that the roomier Taycan will have very similar specs to its sibling. As we await more info about the car, the most significant variable to keep an eye on will be the pricing.
