Don't Forget About Me!

Porsche tuners are a dime a dozen these days and for good reason. Owners of these fine performance automobiles often find themselves looking for things like body kits and performance upgrades, so there's a pretty big market to sell to. But while most Porsche tuners focus on the venerable 911, TechArt offers up one of the more attractive styling and performance packages for the 718 Cayman and Boxster.

Looking Fine

TechArt's aero kit for the 718 enhances both looks and performance thanks to some clever engineering. The two-piece front spoiler features an integrated splitter, while the central air outlet helps reduce lift. The side air intakes feature curved fins, while the rear diffuser surrounds the tailpipes. Two different spoilers are available, with the larger of the duo sitting atop black anodized aluminum uprights. And if you love the carbon look, TechArt also offers a full-on package in either matte or high gloss finish.

Flip the Switch

Looks are great and all, but adding a little performance to your 718 won't hurt either, will it? TechArt's Powerkit adds 50 hp and 45 lb-ft of torque to the stock 2.5-liter, bringing it up to an even 400 ponies and 354 lb-ft of torque. Activating the Powerkit is as simple as flipping to Sport or Sport Plus mode, which nets you a claimed 3.9-second 0-60 time. TechArt also offers a titanium exhaust that gives the 718 a deeper, more powerful sound than the stock pipes.

Low but Practical

To ensure that the revised 718 hugs the curves as good as it goes (and looks), TechArt offers progressively balanced sport springs that lower the car by 30mm. Dynamic twin-spoke 21-inch Formula IV alloy wheels look great and reduce unsprung weight over the stock pieces. But perhaps the coolest feature of the TechArt 718 is its Noselift front axle lift system. The hydraulic setup raises the front of the car up to 60mm to help keep the nose of the car from scraping steep driveways and speed bumps!

The Customer Is Always Right

All of this stuff is great, of course. But we drivers spend most of our time inside our cars. So TechArt offers an array of accentuating highlights in carbon fiber, leather, Alcantara or lacquered surfaces. The customization of the interior is completely up to the customer, so the sky is essentially the limit. Whether you want crazy accent colors or just a bunch of carbon fiber, TechArt will make it happen. The finishing touch is a custom steering wheel that's 360mm smaller in diameter and more ergonomically designed.
