TechArt has developed a reputation for building some seriously crazy Porsches over the years, but now, the tuner has teamed up with the TUNE IT! SAFE! campaign - which promotes safe and legal automotive modification - to create something truly cool - this 911 Targa 4 wearing police livery that aims to show that you don't have to break your local laws to make a car cooler.

Plenty of Support
TUNE IT! SAFE! aims to show that tuning does not have to be in conflict with legal requirements. Since its launch in 2005, the initiative is supported by the German Association of Automobile Tuners (VDAT), has been under the patronage of the Federal Ministry of Transport (BMVI), and is supported by the premium tire manufacturer Hankook and other institutional partners.

New Look
As for this special build, TechArt gave the 911 Targa a number of modifications beginning with its own Aerokit, which includes a front spoiler, airframes, side skirts, a multi-part rear diffuser, aero wings, and a rear spoiler.

Body Mods
Out back, the TechArt police-themed 911 features 3D TechArt lettering, all the requisite police vehicle lighting, and a carbon fiber aero front lid with integrated emergency lighting so it's immediately clear what this Porsche was built to do.

Unique Treatments
Inside, TechArt gave this 911 its own sports steering wheel, as well as a perforated checkered flag for the armrests, center console, and parts of the back seat. Add in some contrast stitching, and this 911's cabin is truly unique.

Low Slung
TechArt finished off its special build with a set of its own Formula V multi-spoke wheels, which feature a turbine look with contrasting colors added for effect. This special machine sits a bit lower than stock as well, thanks to a set of 40mm TechArt Sport Springs.
