Looks and Performance

Those seeking a finely crafted Porsche restomod have plenty of suitors to choose from, a list that includes the likes of Singer, Gunther Werks, Workshop 5001, and many, many more. However, a company called Theon Design has made quite the name for itself in this crowded market recently, and its latest 911 restomod is more than just a looker - it also has the performance chops to back up those gorgeous lines, too.

Big Numbers

Unlike other outfits that focus on the 993-gen 911, Theon leans toward the 964, which is notable for those that prefer this particular generation of the iconic sports car. Its latest build of that type is officially known as ITA001, which was just delivered to its new owner after an 18-month build process that cost a whopping $630,000.

Deviations From Stock

As is the case with many of these builds, only Porsche aficionados will likely notice the deviations from stock on the outside, which include things such as Speedster-inspired conical brushed-aluminum side mirrors, flared wheel arches, and 18-inch Fuchs wheels.

Enhanced Inside

That detailing carries over to the inside, where you'll find fine tobacco-brown bridle leather-covered surfaces, Heritage Green gauges, a Bluetooth stereo, and a handful of other tasteful upgrades that do nothing to diminish the OEM design - only enhance it and modernize it.

Details Matter

On the outside, the Schwartz Black paint is a perfect match, further enhanced by gray "ghost" stripes, integrated fog lights, and fine details like a redesigned frunk support rod - after all, details matter, especially in the world of Porsche 911 restomods.

Potent Powertrain

The meat of this build, however, is its naturally-aspirated 4.0-liter flat-six, which churns out a cool 400 horsepower - more than enough to get this svelte, carbon fiber-bodied, 2,500-pound ride down the street in a hurry. Mated to a proper six-speed manual, powertrains just don't get much better than this.

Daunting Task

Theon Design has certainly carved out its own place in the 911 restomod market, which is a tall order, given how much competition there already is in that space. However, looking at builds like this one, it's pretty easy to see how it managed to accomplish that daunting task.
