1. Porsche 356 Carrera Speedster

The legendary Porsche 356 is considered a luxury sports car. It was the company’s first production automobile, which began in 1948 and ended in 1965. The Carrera Speedster is an incredibly rare version of this particular line of Porsche vehicle – only 151 were ever built, and it’s believed just 140 remain. It features a nimble body but incredibly powerful quad-cam, flat-four cylinder engine. Most collectors spend about $2 million for this car.

2. Porsche 911R

While the 911 is one of Porsche’s more popular vehicle types, finding the 911R version is incredibly difficult. This fiberglass-body car was designed with the 911S in mind, however, when finished, it was 350 pounds lighter, and 50HP more powerful. The company hoped to feature it in competition, but the car was rejected by FIA. As a result, just 23 examples were ever produced of the 911R.

3. Porsche 914-8

If you ever see a Porsche 914-8, consider yourself lucky—only two versions of this vehicle were ever built. They were intended as development cars, and so are incredibly unrefined when it comes to its interior / exterior design. The car is equipped with a 3.0-liter, flat-eight cylinder engine drawn straight from the company’s 908 race car. The two vehicles produced were owned by Ferdinand Piech and Ferry Porsche.

4. Porsche 935 Street

One of the more popular vehicles among Porsche collectors, the 935 Street model is the “road” version of the company’s 935 race car. Given its reference for design, it has the body of the 935 and is equipped with a 3.3-liter, turbocharged flat-six cylinder engine to give it a whopping 375HP. Beyond the temptation that the power this vehicle has to offer, it also features a lavish interior, which is rare for race cars, as they’re often kept bare.

5. Porsche 911 GT1 Strassenversion

Porsche’s 911 GT1 Strassenversion is in a class all by itself. We say this because while it’s listed as a 911 model, that’s by name only – this vehicle was specially built for the FIA’s GT1 class. It’s equipped with a turbocharged, flat-six cylinder engine mounted in the middle of a tubular, space-esque frame chassis to not only give it incredible power, but remarkable balance and handling, too. Just 25 versions of this car were ever produced.
