In good company

Wheels N Meals, the semi-retired series of car meets that goes down in NorCal, supplied enthusiasts with plenty of great food choices and a plethora of sweet rides. Cary Inayoshi, the host of the event, remarked, "I used to be a food truck owner and started Wheels N Meals as a place for me and my food truck friends to sell more food. We thought, 'Why don't we market it toward the automotive community?'"

Some fancy rides came out

And just like that folks flocked to the free car meet catered by awesome food trucks and the result was a huge hit. The series of functions lasted from 2010 to 2014 when Cary decided to sell his truck and focus more on other endeavors like his yearly Shukai car show.

Tastiness in the bay

The relaunch of the event happened at Eastridge Center in Eastern San Jose under the banner of Super StEAT after just a week of promos. The main parking lot was full after just thirty minutes prior to things kicking off with cars ranging from Lamborghinis to Porsche to Hondas. Even domestics and vehicles of the two-wheel variety showed up in support of the cause.

Why can't I reach through the screen?

The food trucks that showed up provided some much-needed relief to the famished throngs of event goers that paced the grounds. Trucks such as Tastee Bytes with American fusion, Takoz Mod Mex with Mexican fare, and Seoul of Taipei with the Asian fusion delights were there to satiate appetites. The food was all sold out before the day was over and was a success for their proprietors.

A huge turnout

With the event being a success for both sides, Cary and Super Street are both hoping to make this a yearly thing. The meet looks well worth your time if you are in or find yourself in San Jose when the next one goes down. Congrats to everyone involved and we look forward to seeing the cars that come out to the next show.
