Russell Built is the company behind these 959-inspired Porsche 911 Safari Baja racers. Using the 964 generation of the Porsche as a starting point, these custom-built off-roading 911s are our look into an alternative universe where Porsche continued their involvement in off-road racing after the famous Paris-Dakar 959 rally racer.

Gemballa

An old school Porsche tuning company that has been around since the '80s, Gemballa is still working their magic and building custom 911s. Aside from the added performance, Gemballa-tuned cars are also recognizable by their aggressive body work.

The Keen Project

Founded by racing driver Leh Keen, The Keen Project has been building off-roading 911s since 2019. Keen's idea of a custom 911 might be a little different from most, however. These cars are built to be driven hard, and they're prepared to take a beating.

The world-famous Rauh-Welt BEGRIFF is a Japanese shop that has made a name for itself because of its distinguishable visual style. RWB boss Akira Nakai's designs have been classified as controversial by many. But the quality of the shop's work cannot be denied.

Marc Philipp Gemballa

The son of the late Uwe Gemballa (founder of the well-established Gemballa tuning company), Marc Philipp Gemballa is adding to his father's legacy by creating a line of supercars of his own. Other than the custom-built Porsches and Ferrari pictured above, young Gemballa's company has also been developing a 959-inspired project.
