Refreshed Panamera

Porsche has pulled the curtains off the much-anticipated third generation of the Panamera, marking a significant shift with updated exteriors, interiors, powertrain options, technological advancements, suspension enhancements, and revised pricing. While the Sport Turismo wagon body style takes a backseat due to sluggish sales, the new lineup promises an amalgamation of superior technology, performance, luxury, and hybrid capabilities.

1. Refreshed Exterior

The exterior of the 2024 Panamera showcases evolutionary changes, with a distinct front-end design featuring larger central intakes resembling a grille, augmented by LED Matrix headlights and redesigned bulged fenders. The rear end sees slimmer full-width LED taillights and a more sculpted bumper, reminiscent of a family-friendly 911 ST. Notably, the Turbo E-Hybrid flaunts unique visual elements, including distinctive bumper intakes and a Turbonite finish, setting it apart from its counterparts.

2. Interior Updates

Inside the Panamera, the design echoes the Taycan EV, boasting a triple-screen layout, a 12.6-inch curved digital instrument cluster, and a central infotainment touchscreen. Notably, the absence of a center console gear lever creates additional storage space, accompanied by a Manettino-style selector on the steering wheel. The cabin embraces modernity with a cooled smartphone compartment, revamped climate controls, and enhanced safety features like the upgraded Porsche InnoDrive and Remote ParkAssist.

3. Power Plant Options

The 2024 Panamera lineup introduces four E-Hybrid powertrains, with the Turbo E-Hybrid leading the pack. This variant pairs a revamped twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 engine with an electric motor integrated into the dual-clutch gearbox and a larger 25.9 kWh battery pack, producing a combined 670 hp and enabling a 0-60 mph sprint in just 3 seconds. Additionally, non-electrified options feature an improved turbocharged 2.9-liter V6 engine, offering enhanced output and performance.

4. Improved Tech

The Panamera’s updated driver-assistance systems, including adaptive cruise control, now enable remote parking via a smartphone. The infotainment system integrates seamlessly with the MyPorsche app when connected to Android Auto or Apple CarPlay, providing better functionality for drivers.

5. Enhanced Air Suspension

All third-gen Panameras boast new two-chamber air springs and adaptive dampers, while the E-Hybrid models introduce the innovative Porsche Active Ride system, combining air springs and hydraulically linked cylinders for improved body control and comfort across various driving modes.

Pricing

The starting price for the 2024 Panamera begins at $99,900 for the base model and $106,900 for the Panamera 4, excluding delivery processing and handling fees. The Turbo E-Hybrid, expected to surpass its predecessor's price, awaits further details closer to its on-sale date.
