Air-Cooled Porsche Extravaganza Prepares to Embark on World Tour

By now, pretty much every Porsche fan worth their salt knows all about Luftgekühlt - or Luft, as it's otherwise known - which has been celebrating the air-cooled Porsche for years now with one of the coolest events on the planet. Born in South California, Luft has long had more global ambitions, and as such, it's preparing to embark on a world tour in 2024, giving even more Europeans the chance to experience it on their own turf.

Rapid Expansion

Luftgekühlt - exists solely to celebrate Porsche's air-cooled heritage, which began with the Pre-A 356 and ended with the 993 911 that was discontinued in 1998. It routinely attracts some truly notable street and road-going cars from those eras after it originated in Venice, California. However, in the years since, Luft has expanded to include various other locations, which will once again be the case in 2024.

Two Stops

This year, Luft will add a two-stop European tour to its list, with stints in Wroclaw, Poland, on June 14-15, followed by its first-ever Scandinavian showing in Copenhagen, Denmark, on September 7.

Back to Cali

However, once those stops have concluded, Luft will head back to Southern California this fall, though the details surrounding that event - including its exact location, dates, and other pertinent facts - have yet to be determined.

Anniversary Celebration

Regardless, that SoCal showing will mark Luft's 10th anniversary, so we have to assume that organizers are cooking up something extra special for that particular event. Of course, that's also precisely what we've come to expect from Luft over the past decade, anyway.

Air and Water

In the meantime, those who appreciate this kind of format can also attend a special Air/Water event hosted by Luft in the coming months, including the next installment, which is set to take place in Costa Mesa, California, on April 27.
