Time for a Refresh

The folks at RS Werks typically take the approach of upgrading the engines in their projects up to 3.8 or even 4-liters. But this time they opted for more of a refurbishment of the engine rather than a total overhaul. The ultimate goal was to turn this fully-stock '82 Super Carrera into the ultimate daily driver. We'd say the crew at RS Werks certainly accomplished that feat.

No More Sunshine

One of the first things the team did was pull everything off for a full respraying of the body. The crew opted for the Porsche OEM Pacific Blue Metallic paint. While everything was off, RS Werks also worked in a sunroof delete to strengthen the chassis and clean things up a bit. Lastly, the team made sure to do away with any minor cosmetic defects in the body while everything was apart.

    In the Lap of Luxury

Inside the '82 Super Carrera, you'll find gorgeous brown GTS Classics leather seating with matching accents across the interior. The vehicle is steered via a wooden Nardi steering wheel that perfectly compliments the new headliner, vintage Porsche stereo, door cards, and square-weave carpet. RS Werks also fitted in some custom speaker mounts to aid in the cabin experience.

      Looking RUF

The bumpers of the 911 also saw some reworking. RS Werks altered the design a bit to emulate the RUF Yellowbird-style bumpers. The Super Carrera also got new seals, refurbished trim, and brand new LED lighting including Eruostyle turn signals and taillights. The chassis connects to pairs of 7" and 9" body-color wheels.

      No Stone Left Unturned

As for the mechanical components, RS Werks made sure to restore or replace everything. The crew went over the vehicle with a fine-toothed comb to ensure the 911 was road-worthy and just as good as the day it left the lot. The team also upgraded the stopping power by throwing on some Boxster front calipers and new rotors. Along with the brake upgrade, the team added performance parts from Stomski Racing and reworked all of the suspension.

      Ready for the Road

In the engine bay, you'll find the original 3.2-liter engine which was fully rebuilt and tuned. The engine saw the addition of some larger cams among a few other performance parts. Exhaust gasses flow through custom piping and deliver a sweet symphony of sounds for the outside world to enjoy. The transmission was also rebuilt to complement the renewed power and vitality of the engine. All in all, RS Werks went above and beyond to ensure they met their goal of creating the perfect daily driver.
