Porsche Once Built a Custom Car Just For Keanu Reeves

As many are already well aware, famous actor Keanu Reeves is a real-deal gear head that enjoys not only cars, but also motorcycles, to the point where he has his own custom bike shop. However, Reeves - of John Wick and Matrix fame, to name just a couple - also has a thing for Porsches, to the point where the automaker made him his own custom 911 a few years ago.

Fulfilling the Dream

After making it big with a spot in Point Break, Reeves decided to fulfill his childhood dreams of owning a Porsche by purchasing a 993 911 Carrera 4S, which was sadly stolen some time later. Thus, he set out to purchase a new replacement, a process that began with a visit to the Porsche Customer Consultation Center in Beverly Hills.

One-of-One

After much discussion, Reeves settled on a black 991 911 Carrera 4S with a host of specific upgrades including black anodized interior trim panels and a 12-o'clock center marker on the steering wheel, among many other unique features that made this car his own. However, there was also another process going on at the same time this 911 was being built.

Something Bigger

That process was the construction of a custom motorcycle for Reeves, which was being built by legendary customizer Gard Hollinger. Hollinger came up with a one-off machine dubbed the KRGT-1, which wound up fostering something much bigger - the Arch Motorcycle Company, which now churns out Reeves' dream bike for customers interested in purchasing their own.

Perfect Parallel

Both of these machines share a lot in common, as Reeves wanted both to be "as user-friendly as possible." The actor also purposely modeled his motorcycle after Porsche's legendary sports cars, which he says "always look beautiful and perform just as brilliantly." And if that isn't a high benchmark for a machine, well, we don't know what is.
