Amazing Car, Amazing Price

While the world of collectible Porsche vehicles has been red hot for many years now, recent times and events have driven prices even higher than before, and eager buyers don't appear likely to let up anytime soon. In fact, this gorgeous, low-mile 964-gen 911 Turbo recently raked in a whopping $470k over at Bring a Trailer, an incredible sum, but in all fairness, for a pretty amazing car.

Strong Appeal

This 1994 model is one of just 1,500 Turbo 3.6 models built across two model years, which makes it a truly rare example of a pretty amazing breed, and it has just 26k miles on the clock to boot. As a result, this 964 911 is in stunning condition, though it does have a couple of small modifications that don't necessarily detract from its strong appeal.

Protected Bodywork

On the outside, this 911 shines in Guards Red paint and the widened bodywork that the Turbo has long been famous for. Paint protection film covers most of that as well, which s probably a good idea given how valuable and pristinely original the exterior is.

Pristine Cabin

The same goes for the interior, which is in equally immaculate shape with tan leather seats, door panels, and carpeting, along with a host of amenities including air conditioning, a McIntosh CD stereo, and a leather-wrapped steering wheel.

Notable Powerplant

This car's powerplant is perhaps its most appealing feature, however, as Porsche's turbocharged 3.6-liter M64 flat-six cranks out an impressive 355 horsepower and 384 pound-feet of torque. That power flows to the rear wheels via a Type G50/52 five-speed manual transmission, while a Fabspeed exhaust enhances the sound somewhat.

Rolling Stock

This 964 911 Turbo rolls on a set of polished 18-inch Speedline Cup wheels, which are wrapped with Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires measuring 225/40 up front and 265/35 in the rear. They also cover a set of Porsche-branded brakes with red-painted calipers over cross-drilled rotors at all four corners.

Appreciating Asset

Given this car's rarity, condition, and popularity, it's really no surprise that it hammered for a princely sum at auction, a total that nearly reached the half-million dollar mark. But with a red hot market that's not showing any signs of cooling off, the buyer could be in line to sell it for even more money the next go-round.
