911 Carrera GTS 30 Years Porsche Thailand Edition Celebrates Milestone

Long Name, Cool Car

Porsche - like most automakers - has churned out its fair share of special edition models over the years, typically cars that pay homage to a moment in the company's rich and illustrious history. The latest - what is officially called the 911 Carrera GTS 30 Years Porsche Thailand Edition - might have one of the longest names we've ever seen attached to any vehicle, but it also pretty much sums up the colorful new special edition perfectly.

Colorful Culture

As one might have guessed, the 911 Carrera GTS 30 Years Porsche Thailand Edition celebrates the fact that the German automaker has enjoyed three decades of being on sale in that particular country, which was created in conjunction with Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur to pay tribute to the colorful culture present in that particular country.

Days of the Week

Based on the 911 Carrera GTS, this new special edition will be produced in limited quantities, each one available in one of seven iconic Paint to Sample (PTS) that represents a day of the week in Thai culture. That list consists of Signal Yellow for Monday, Ruby Star for Tuesday,  Signal Green for Wednesday, Pastel Orange For Thursday, Riviera Blue for Friday, Ultraviolet for Saturday, and Fire Red for Sunday.

Special Touches

In addition to those colorful choices, the special edition 911 features a unique black/exterior two-tone color treatment for the standard 20- and 21-inch Turbo S center lock wheels, with black brake calipers and Porsche crest wheel caps.

Rounding out the unique exterior features of the 30 Years Porsche Thailand Edition are black high-gloss contrast finishes adorning the  SportDesign front apron, front intakes, side window sills, rear apron inlays, rear lid inlays, and exterior mirrors. On the B-pillars, a "30 Years Porsche Thailand Edition” plaque is applied by hand, while five slates on the rear deckled are painted red, white, and blue to pay tribute to the Thai flag.

Interior Upgrades

The unique exterior colors of these cars flow into the interior as well, with body-color trim pieces helping to accent the cabin. The black leather seats are enhanced with black corduroy seat inlays and Pebble Grey piping and contrast stitching, with anniversary logos present on the headrests,  passenger console, center armrest, and door sill guards.
