Real World Look

Singer has quickly become a well-known entity in the automotive world, one that routinely cranks out some of the most beautiful, obsessively detailed, finely crafted 911 restomods on the planet. Of course, these machines take a long time to craft and cost a boatload of money, so they're still rare to see in the wild. However, Jeff Sutton of the YouTube channel Jalopy Jeff recently got to check one out up close, giving us a real-world look at one of Singer's masterpieces.

Rare and Pricey

Like all of Singer's fine creations, this DLS model is a true one-of-a-kind masterpiece, finished in an attractive shade of blue. It's one of just 75 of its kind, originally sold for an eye-watering $2 million - sans upgrades. Regardless, one could argue that it's worth every penny, or at least we Porsche fanatics might be able to make that case.

Impressive Performance

Power for this stunning machine comes from an equally stunning 4.0-liter flat-six, which has been built by the folks at Williams Advanced Engineering and cranks out 493 horsepower with a redline of 9,000 rpm. It sends power to the wheels via a traditional six-speed manual transmission with magnesium casings, making for brisk performance.

Lightweight yet Well-Equipped

Helping out in that department is the fact that this car weighs a mere 2,200 pounds, mostly thanks to its carbon fiber body panels, though it certainly isn't lacking any creature comforts. In fact, this car is equipped with traction control and ABS, along with a set of attractive BBS Fuchs-style wheels and carbon ceramic brakes.

Bespoke Interior

As is the case with all Singer builds, this one also features a bespoke interior that's totally custom, yet also looks like it could have come straight from Porsche's factory. In this case, a pair of Recaro bucket seats adorn the interior, covered in some pretty eye-appealing fabrics.

Porsche Perfection

The concept behind the DLS is quite simple - to make the ultimate, lightweight version of the 911, and by all accounts, Singer certainly achieved that lofty goal here. These cars are absolute perfection on wheels, though they also certainly aren't easy to get one's hands on.
